Shhh! THE SECRET
"The Secret" teaches the basic principals of the law of attraction. Practicing the joys and gratitude of life.
I own and have watched this video several times, refer to it at times in my life and believe in the overall philosophy of this dvd.
In a nutshell, if you think you are going to fail, you will. You have hardwired yourself to fail. If you think you will succeed, by all means, that law applies too.
So, when Tim told me that we were moving to SA, I sat down, thought about it, and cried. Not because we had to start all over making friends, learn a new city, pack our belongings or any of that jazz. I sat on my tukus and balled because I KNEW I was never going to find an opening in a preschool ANYWHERE. For those of you that don't know, I slept in our church, overnight, to get Lexie into preschool in Tampa. Oh yeah, I am hard core. There is no stopping me when it comes to my free time!
For the last 3 weeks, I have combed the area checking out dance studios, gymnastics studios, MOMS clubs and even a culinary academy. For the last 3 weeks, I have tossed around the idea of what child fits what activity. I have studied the times that the classes were held and fought with myself about what to do.
Today, I thought I would call a few day schools that I had heard were good, just knowing what lied ahead of me.
On my second phone call, the savior on the other end of the line says: "You are not going to believe this, but I actually have 2 openings left in my entire school and it is for the 3 year old program and the older 4 year olds program".
I pulled my mouth up off the floor, tossed my hair up into a twist, threw on a scarf, pants and foamed up my mouth real quick with toothpaste and out the door we flew. I got there in just the nick of time, as the door opened right behind me. There stood an equally bloodshot eyed woman wishing, hoping, praying to hand her son over to anyone who would take him...2 days a week, one day, an hour, she was desperate. I can say this because, I beat her to the door. Poor little lady...I referred her to a wonderful culinary school....
I guess that in the back of my mind, in my heart of hearts, I knew not to sign them up for some other weekly activity, so that when the right school came to us, we would be free to partake!
Thanks universe. I promise not to litter as a result of your kindness.
Yippee. P.S., the girls are very excited too. Bella begins tomorrow!
I so relate to this. I can't wait to find out which town we will live in for no other reason than to start a social network.
