Drown First, Breathe Next.

Meet Neti.Her and I didn't get along at first. With her long nose, turned slightly up in the air. Nasal salt and zinc drops, she was a little bitter. Not exactly my type of friend...not to mention, she made me cry on our first encounter!
I was at the beach in Gulf Shores when my Mom encouraged me to try Neti, since I was having a migraine and sinus issues. I went in the bathroom, shut the door and assured her I could do it without her chaperoning....
I tilted my head, 3 drops got by me, I was drowning. Crying, coughing, gasping for air....Neti, YOU WITCH.
I just knew the Alabama Tribune headlines would read, "haha, woman POURS water in her OWN NOSE and DROWNS".


Very begrudgingly, Neti and I went nose to nose again. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and tilted my head. After all, this is her only job, to help me breathe, clear out and moisturize my nasal passages. She did it, I still cried...however, I could breathe! I COULD BREATHE!

You just have to get past that initial feeling of drowning, crying your eyes out, burning nostrils, you too can enter the land of the free breathing! Really, Neti rocks!

7 months later Neti and I are good buddies. I don't know what I would do without her. I am happy I got her, long before Oprah told the world about her! (she was my friend first)
