I am the detective on this case, and it is my sole conclusion that the cat shredded the newspaper. That cat gets into everything...chews up all my toys, occasionally poops in the dining room and sniffs around for food droppings. He hisses at me a lot, maybe because he knows that I know...about his mischievous side...
