Happy 6th, Bella

Happy Birthday Bella!
I went into labor with Bella in the middle of the night, about 3 AM. Honestly, I didn't know anything about labor, I thought I had to do, uhem, a #2, but after camping out in the bathroom for an hour, I figured it must be labor. I woke T-bone up, he called the doctor and we were on our way, except that I needed him to make the bed first, and scoop the litter box and....... Well, let's say he was not AT ALL concerned about my list of duties, only the duty of bringing our baby girl into this world. So, T-bone ran every red light all the way to the hospital, which was 20 minutes away, (shhh, don't tell the police....except that there was really nobody on the roads at that hour). By 5:30 AM, I was admitted into the hospital, dilated to 5 cm, with contractions less than 3 minutes apart. Bella decided to make her GRAND ARRIVAL a little past 1:00 PM. Bella swallowed amniotic fluid during the birth and ended up staying in the hospital for 6 days in NICU. She got to come home on her due date, September 11th. That is pretty indicative of her personality today, she will do it when she is ready, then, she gives it her all! This morning, Bella got ready for school, excited to be the "Birthday Queen". Her teacher will crown her this morning. Then, Lexie and I are bringing her "Broccoli Soup and a salad, with white stringy things (alfalfa sprouts) on it, and tomatoes and cucumbers, with ranch and croƻtons and a root beer", from Jason's Deli (her request). Lexie and I are also surprising her with mini cupcakes with sprinkles. Bella gets to invite a friend to eat lunch with her up on the stage in the cafeteria, how cool is that?
I am giving her teacher frosted pink cookies with confetti sprinkles on the top for the whole class to share at snack time.
I am thinking she will have an awesome day! We did a little celebrating while family was here...

Bella opened a few gifts and tonight she will open her special gift from Lexie. We are having her party
next weekend...

Happy Birthday Bella. I hope your day is filled with laughter, fun and wishes come true. I love you, Mom
