I feel thankful that I am able to help others.
This week, I made an apron for an auction, to help a lady who is suffering a great deal. A lady with a son, CLICK HERE to read her remarkable story of strength, bravery and love for her son. I felt a great need to help them in some way. I cannot imagine the challenge that is and does lie ahead of them. Sometimes we have to rely on others for support, to come to our aid, whether it is lending an ear, our time, a helping hand.....
So, I ask only one thing of you today, that no matter how hard life is, or how tough your day was, that you search deeply and find something in your life that you are THANKFUL for....

ReplyDeletei clicked on your blog from dayna's to see the hollywood look alike that she made reference to, but instead i found your thursday entry...which led me to click on the story of jen...and i have to say, it was 10x more heart wrenching then i had anticipated...in fact, it became too difficult and i had to stop reading it. when i realized she has STAGE 4 colon cancer with maybe less than a year to live, leaving a 6 year old son behind...i knew i had to do something to help too. if someone isn't able to donate to the ebay auction, there is a paypal account set up to take cash donations. they said to send an email to weloveyoujen@gmail.com and they will send you the paypal link.
ReplyDeletewhen i wake up in the morning and think i am having a bad day because i see another wrinkle in the mirror...(or something even LESS important...like a bad hair day...) it puts things in proper prospective to read stories like this and to remind yourself just how blessed your life really is. thank you for your thankful thursday post...it was more beneficial than you know!
