Squash Trees

My girls aren't chicken noodle soup advocates. They prefer my version of winter soup, with cabbage, squash, carrots, peas and whole grain pasta. Throw in a pumpkin spice muffin and you have got yourself a recipe for happiness. Put the soup in a pink confetti bowl, sitting pretty on a ladybug plate, perched on top of a cupcake place mat and well, you have a haven for little sickling's to heal.

The girls said: "why are there seeds in our soup?"
Me: it is squash seeds.
Them:
"Great, now we are going to grow squash trees in our bellies"
