Well, it is a brand spankin' New Year...time for new thoughts, impressive resolutions, fresh internal promises, new beginnings.....that never come to fruition. It is a nice idea though.
I started off my New Years Eve getting ready for our friends to come over for dinner. By the time lunch rolled around, the girls and I were famished. Instead of cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner, I opted to head out for a quick lunch, and a new pair of boots (it's our little secret).
I got my purse, got my kids, got my water and got in my car. No keys. The door to the house is locked. No problem, I will call Tim....Oh, yeah, that is also in the house, locked up. It took an hour. Tim rescued us and we got to eat taco's about an hour and a half beyond starvation. What a way to end 2007, eh?
It ended up being a great evening. We had friends over, ate too much, drank a little, shot off fireworks, toasted to a year that has flown us by and went to bed, before midnight. Hey, that is what parents do.

Lexie was only concerned with riding her bike in circles in the garage....simple pleasures.

The wind was so cold that we had to set up a screening room, complete with blanket, heater and 4 kids in the back of my car for the "fireworks show"....(hosted by: Tim and Tim). Only, after about 10 minutes, one of the Tim's decided to check out the view from the "screening room".

It was so windy that the fireworks were whipping in every direction, looking more like a cowboy with a glowing lasso than an ambitious Dad shooting off some whistling, confetti throwing, loud popping, crackling legalized explosives.

It was so windy and so freezing cold that one might actually have an "OUT OF BODY" experience....enlarge the picture to see what I mean!
Thank you Honey for being a real trooper. The kids loved the fireworks/dust storm show.
Now, down to business, my Mom gave me the most rockin' cheese ball recipe. You want it?..........
Let me know if "diet" it part of your New Years Resolution...then, we'll talk!
Okay so I can only see half of your montage. The left half! Could you email it to me?
