IN TEXAS

Every thing is bigger in Texas, unless you are a POT HOLE, then, you are naturally the biggest in Louisiana. The road is so bumpy, it is like getting a horrible vibrating massage, for 5 hours. I was "itchy" all over by the time I hit the black top in Orange, Texas.

Well, what is a road trip without fast food, dead things on the side of the road, 56 shredded tires, 19 "choppers", at least one M.L.King street, bad radio stations and some grandma in the fast lane going 35?
I chewed 2 packs of Tiny Chiclets bubble gum, drank 8 bottles of water, 1 frozen coke, an apple, a lollipop, Chicken Sandwich, a WHATABURGER Jr. with cheese, an A&W Cream Soda, a few pieces of Halloween candy and some pecans over the last 5 days and 19.5 hours. I spent a small fortune on gasoline, an oil change and a car wash. BUT AT LAST, I am in Texas. Yee-haw!

Looks like Tim finagled internet for us, Yippee! So, my heart will continue to beat....thanks for saving me honey :)

Sorry about all the moving nonsense (yawn)....The girls arrive on Friday. Thanks to Mom and Kenny for taking wonderful care of our family! Pictures of our house and stories about our adventures coming soon.

  1. Wow! I am impressed and have jealousy for the Whataburger opportunities ahead - :) Have fun - wow, Chiclet? I have not eaten those little things in over 25 years! What a blast from my past! Glad you are safe...

  2. And how were those hours to yourself without having to be a circus acrobat grabbing something someone dropped and managing to keep your eyes on the road at the same time? Sometimes I really LOVE being in the car alone!
