She's A BRICK HOUSE

Got on a plane Sunday morning, before the sun came up.
By Sunday night, we had looked at 4 subdivisions, a dozen floorplans and had settled on this brick house...
It was love at first sight!
On Monday, we started our negotiations.....We had to "TAKE IT TO THE MATTRESSES" a few times.

Then, we took a detour from the mattresses and went straight to this:

Tuesday morning, we went to YET ANOTHER builder and subdivision....Found another house with a magnificent view and stone on the exterior, which we really loved. However, in the end, the Merlot brick house won our hearts. Thanks to my dear friend Ida, our patient, hard working, darling salesperson, Steffanie and the design center guru, Tammi, we now have a contract on a home in Texas. Now, we just gotta make nice with the builder to get the home completed by the end of October.
On a side note: HULK HOGAN was on our flight back to Tampa from DFW. Tim got to talk to him for about 10 minutes....super nice guy! AND YEP, he is THAT BIG in person. No pictures, out of respect. I did have to fight the urge. OOH, maybe I can get Hogan to have a "sit down" with our new builder....haha-

  2. OMG!! What neighborhood is that? I swear we were in that model, it's the James Dean cutout. Looks awesome, but we all know your house will be so much prettier than the model when you are done!
Oh, and what's the house made out of again?? HAHA!
