The UN-KNOWN fact

When you are out of contract and your phone breaks, what do you do?
Drive to the formerly Cingular new AT&T store, with 2 girls, a bag full of snacks and a chip on your shoulder, knowing they are about to "stick it to you"!
I told the girls to sit on the floor and eat their fishy crackers (and please don't spill them I say). They did spill them and walked them into the carpet (that was me sticking it to them!).
The lady says, if you want to renew your contract for 2 years, the least expensive phone is $70.00, but you have to pay $170.00 and mail in the $100 rebate, plus, sign a contract.
I say (with my hand on my chest and my head slightly tilted) "I am a stay at home Mom, I just need a basic phone and I don't want to sign a contract".
She says, well, the cheapest phone is $289.00 for just a basic bottom of the line phone.
In my best dramatic performance, I say, "what can I do here? this is just too much for me. my husband just won't let me do this....oh, I should have never let the girls use my phone"
(Tim is the spender, he could care less, but I threw that in for effect).

She takes me aside and says, Go to Radio Shack or Walmart and get the GO PHONE. Tell them you just want the phone, not the plan of minutes....it will be no more than $70.00. Slip your SIM card in and GO!

That is just what I did. I walked my happy SAHM self down a few doors and bought that phone. They have a camera GO phone, a MP3 GO phone and this one.....
Ranging in price from $99 to $19 (guess which one I chose?)

Anyhow, nothing was wrong with my old phone besides the speaker blew. It beeped and vibrated, but wouldn't ring.
Whoala! Back in business.
Now you know....kid throws your phone over the balcony? Get a GO phone from Target, Radio Shack or Walmart that is compatible with your carrier and keep movin'!
