Woke up at 5am, packed the remainder of our things in the trunk of a rental car, stopped at Krispy Kreme (Steve-Whataburger) and headed to DFW airport, gassed the rental, turned it in, checked luggage, went through security and had bathroom breaks all before 8:30am/with NO meltdowns, rain or strangers bossing me. Sat on a plane for 3 hours and watched out the window as plush green turned into mountains and crop circles...Arrived in Reno to crisp cool air and NO humidity (my hair said an immediate thank you and began to perform at it's best- heehee)gathered luggage/car seats and Steve's blazer-why does paying $65 to have our car SIT somewhere for a week make me crazy?, picked up lunch and got Steve stuff ready to immediately go to work and sorted laundry. Read an insane amount of mail, brought in 2 of our 5 suitcases, started a scrabble game, took a power nap and just woke up to read blogs at my own computer...I LOVE my bed and computer...and oh, my kids too...they are on auto-pilot at the tv. :) It's 4pm now (we got two hours BACK while flying home) and I am ready for bed. Whew...what did YOU DO? :)
ReplyDeleteWell we played today and did nothing productive. Went to see Ratouille and a baseball game, with the usual mundane crap thrown in. And seriously, I think I said seriously all the time before Meredith did. Then again wasn't I Meredith first too??
ReplyDeleteDropped Ashton off at VBS. Ran to Kohl's for pj's for Reese. Came home to meet the installers for our shutters. Checked e-mail. Attempted a nap for Reese...installers were way too loud. Picked Ashton & her friend Anna up from VBS. Got Taco Bueno for lunch. Fed the girls. Put Reese down for a nap. Cleaned up the house and checked e-mail while the girls watched Parent Trap. Made the girls a tent. Made the girls ice cream cones...yadda,yadda, yadda! Really, I just sat and watched soaps and ate bon bons too! Yeah right!

ReplyDeleteWoke at 6am. Fed the boys. Enjoyed my coffee on the deck while the boys watched Peep. Packed and left for swim lessons. Took the boys to the splash park after lessons. Came home and fixed lunch for everybody. Distracted the boys with fruit snacks and ran across the street to beg/borrow/steal a Pepsi from my neighbor. Currently listening to the boys WHINE their heads off (sort of sounds like a loud mosquito buzzing) It's about 1pm. I'd love to say that Ms. Sassy and I are getting our pedicures later...
