Something Fun to know about my BRO!

Ted, my bro, caddies for Bubba Watson...who just tied for 5th place at the US Open, yesterday. Before Bubba, he caddied for Paul Azinger, before that, Grant Waite. Last week on ESPN, the commentators were making comments on how my bro was calming Bubba down during the US Open ....I mean, seriously, isn't he adorable? Commentators, there isn't anything bad to say about my little bro. HE ROCKS!!!!!!!!! Not to mention, Bubba said in an interview how Ted's advice on the course is super important to his game. Bubba went on to say "he has a little baby at home, he has to eat too".
Ted's job is no walk in the park. He flies all around the world, spends time away from his wife and baby girl. He walks the courses early in the morning, charting the way the wind blows, the height of the grass and every other bit of pertinent information in his yardage book...this helps his player to be on top of his game. He hauls around a very heavy bag, imagine lugging around 100 lbs, in the heat and having to give advice that could be worth millions every second of the 18 hole game, in front of a worldwide audience and spectators on the course. That goes on daily. The caddies eat in the Caddy Wagon, and I have eaten in it, the food is not bad at all! They sleep on couches, in people's home's that offer for them to stay for free, stay in hotels.....but every week, it is another location, a different surrounding to sleep and eat in.

Note Worthy: Straight from the International Herald Tribune Sports
On May 10th, the PGA tour was in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. There was a tip jar with crinkled bills in it and instructions on the 17th hole...A piece of paper next to the jar with the day's instructions: "Caddie closest to the hole contest. One shot only."

QUOTE: "Since Bubba Watson is a left-handed golfer and his caddie, Ted Scott, is right-handed, Woods offered Scott the use of his 8-iron.

Scott stood on the tee with the 8-iron belonging to the best golfer in the world, gripped it a little too tight, and hit his tee shot to the right and into the water.

"Nice swing," Woods said."

(Tiger told my bro "nice swing"....HA! I would have swung that club and missed that dang ball, taken off running with Tiger's club and sold it on Ebay for a small fortune. Then I would have to blog for you all on my Yacht off the coast of Belize....uh, good thing I am not Bubba's caddie, huh?)

Isn't it crazy? You read my blog and are buddies with the girl who had someone famous beat her up all during her childhood! (don't ya feel privileged?)

  2. I stand corrected by Ted. He said the golfer's bag weighs less than 100 lbs. He said he "barely weighs that much"!
    What a joker!
