You know, in the check out line at Target, there are yo-yo's, Littlest Pet Shop pets, fruit snacks and Polly Pockets, sometimes Kelly miniature barbie's. I am sure there are Hot Wheels too, but I don't notice.
So, even if we are on a trip to the "grocery store"...the dialog goes something like this:
Can we get a new toy? Not today Oohhh, Can we get my barbie some new clothes? No, she already has a wardrobe bigger than mine. UUUhhhh, GEEZ. How about some colors or paint? Seriously? We just got new paint filled brushes last week. Well, how about, ummmm, a little pet when we check out, and then an icee??? PPPPLLLLLLLLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEEE Mom... The Easter Bunny is coming, maybe you will get a new toy in your Easter Basket, but you can have an icee..(selfish on my part, I like frozen coke and want one too).
I don't know about you, but, when I walk into my girls playroom it is like Barbie had a party when her Mama was out of town. There are Bratz, Barbie's, Littlest Pet Shop pets, baby dolls, Groovy Girls, 4 strollers, 2 shopping carts, Dollhouse furniture all over the floor and dress up clothes strewn about as if Cinderella's servants got to shop in her closet...Anyhow, I find myself longing to see what carpet looks like in that room...
After all, it is NEW carpet.
No new toys until Easter. I am on a Toy Strike!
And multiply it by 2 and you have the Parker playroom!
ReplyDeleteThis is why most of Emma's toys are kept at Grandma's house...ok that and she spends a lot of time there.
ReplyDeleteMultiply it by 2, Amy, and my husband will commit me to an insane asylum!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll just have Clare and leave it at that-HEE! HEE!
