There is a Super Walmart in Gulf Shores, Alabama that closed their portrait studio to put in an AIR BRUSHING store....
Here in Tampa, I am checking out and my cashier asks ME the price of something....so, I made something up... I like to call that ON THE JOB TRAINING!
Oh, and if you can find a cashier that can actually SPEAK ENGLISH, you're in real good shape.
Everything you could ever want, groceries, clothing, toys, bikes, oil change, haircut, baby crib, Subway or McDonald's, landscaping, Tax consulting (yeah, like I want to go to Wally Martinez for that one) portrait studio (unless you live in Alabama) and nail salon. What is wrong with this picture?
I see them make the cakes and bake the bread, who grinds the meat?..... "Martin in Automotive, we need you in the meat department"
OH, and apparently they are closing their sewing/craft department nationwide to expand for some SPORTSMAN'S items...Man, that is what Lowe's is for!
Waiting in line? YOU BETCHA...they have been in business long enough to figure out rush hours, but noooooooo, 5 lanes open with 200 people in line looks goooooood.
Restrooms: I say....no way in HE** you betta touch anything.
Last week I found an entire outfit (and I do mean ENTIRE) sitting next to the potty....hmmm, ya think someone got themselves some new jeans and lace panties?
I go there, I do and I snarl every time, hold back gagging and swear I will not go back. I must enjoy the torture.
Super Target is closer and way cleaner, educated, nice....but, they don't have a half gallon of Rice Milk for sale. They can't rotate my tires, do my nails, my hair and grind my meat in one visit now can they?
On a side note: I spell checked this posting and it highlighted Walmart for me. I clicked on it and the word Walmart isn't even in their dictionary....a sign?
Steve and I love documentaries and last month rented, WalMart: The High Cost of Low Price...from Netflix. Good grief, if you watch it, you will NEVER want to shop there again...but what is weird is that I felt that way, ALSO prefer Target, but said the SAME argument to Steve about the cost of groceries...and where we are, the availability..no Super Targets nearby. It was not worth the rental fee honestly, but horrible and if you are on Netflix or a set fee plan, I say rent it. CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteI think this post could've been written by me! As my Mom said, God must have created Walmart to show us what hell is like.
ReplyDeleteI NEVER go to Walmart unless my life depends on it! I went there for Christmas trying to get the girls'jeep for Christmas and I don't know why I didn't just fork over the extra $20 to save me the headache! Call me a snob but I am a Target girl all the way!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny--Once again, great minds think alike--I was just considering posting about our NEW wal-mart at Custer/380 that actually is worth shopping at! Kind of a long drive from Tampa, though! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd a real kicker is visiting a Wally World in the wee hours of the night. Oh! The sights you see! :) Yeah, I'm a Target snob too, Amy!
